6,000 students have participated in the festival over the past 10 years.
In 2015, over 1,500 Middle School, High School and University students will participate
in our various educational festival screenings and events. The educational initiative for Focus on French Cinema offers students of all ages the opportunity to connect to French and Francophone cultures. Multiple screenings throughout the tri-state area this year will culminate in the screening of Qu’Allah bénisse la France at The French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF’s) “Young Audience“ program, with Abd Al Malik in attendance. Yale University joins Focus on French Cinema in 2015 in partnership with the Yale African Student Association in a post festival screening of Des Etoiles with director, Diana Gaye on hand for a post screening discussion.
